Information about Essegomma PP filament yarns

  • Specific Gravity
    The specific gravity of Essegomma yarn is lower than the other textile fibers and it is the only one which floats. Therefore, it offers great economic advantages during weaving. The hollow yarn “LEG” can weigh 50% less than polyester (See the table under material property table).

  • Treatment
    All Essegomma yarn is UV stabilized. On request, it is possible to increase the resistance, producing yarns suitable for external applications

  • Color fastness
    Essegomma, in addition to using only non toxic masterbatches, also offers the possibility of improving the light fastness for each color. Essegomma color resistance is between 6 and 8 on the Din 5400 A scale (blue). Regarding this matter, please specify your requirements when placing inquiries and orders

  • Other treatments on request

    Heat-setting: to reduce the effect of twist and to decrease the shrinkage during the finishing process

    Anti dust mite/Antibacterial: ideal for all types of furnishing fabrics, especially for asthmatics or people with allergies

    Flame retardant for contract furnishing
