Polyamide

Nylon high tenacity yarn is produced from specially treated polyamide polymers and is used in tires, for coated fabrics, tarpaulins, as reinforcement in rubber hoses and conveyor belts, safety belts, netting, ropes, parachutes, racket strings, tents, industrial sewing threads, sleeping bags, cables and hawsers. Polyester

Polyester high tenacity yarn is processed into safety belts, coated fabrics such as tarpaulins for lorries, sports articles such as sails, tents, rucksacks, and is applied in different belts and straps, as well as fastening riggings for bore-islands.

We are also in a position to supply fine counts in polyester high tenacity - lowest count is 55 dtex.

Polypropylene

Because of its superior performance characteristics and comparatively low-cost, PP high tenacity filaments finds extensive use in many demanding applications. The main end use areas include:

• packaging
• outdoor furniture
• in automotive applications such as package shelf, seat construction, truck liners, load decks, trim pieces
• filtration fabrics
• general commodity items

Vectran (high performance liquid crystal polymer)

Vectran is the brand name for a high-performance thermoplastic multifilament yarn spun from Vectra ® liquid crystal polymer (LCP). Vectran is the only commercially available melt spun LCP fiber in the world. Vectran fiber exhibits exceptional strength and rigidity. Pound for pound Vectran fiber is five times stronger than steel and ten times stronger than aluminum.

The result of more than 15 years of dedicated research and development by Celanese scientists and the establishment of over 130 LCP-related U.S. patents, Vectran fiber provides engineers with exciting material selection options. This new fiber is available as Vectran HS, a high-strength reinforcement fiber and Vectran M, a high-performance matrix fiber. 

Where Existing Materials Fail to Perform 

A unique combination of properties differentiates liquid crystal polymer fiber from other high-performance fibers and makes it the material of choice in demanding applications where other fibers fail to meet performance requirements. The remarkable range of mechanical properties exhibited by Vectran fibers and their unique combination of properties permits them to be used for a variety of purposes.

Stainless steel

Stainless steel yarns are used when synthetic filaments are not suitable in case of requirements such as :

• high temperatures up to 600°C

• resistance to numerous wash-cycles (> 50)

• high conductivity level

• resistance to harsh chemical conditions (except to pure chlorine and sulphuric acid)
